Possibly Civil War era. 6” overall with 2 1/8” folding blade, well worn from sharpening. The base marked G DOBSON & SONE SHEFFIELD. That company was established in 1856 and recorded under that name in 1876. One piece ivory grip securing back spring. Only example of this form we have encountered.
