BLUE ON WHITE TILE, DELFT STYLE, 18th-19th CENTURY

$95.00

5 1/8” square with a scene of a sailboat on a canal with the sea beyond and two houses ashore. By the second half of the 18th century, English potteries were competing with Delft and by the Victorian period, the fashion of blue on white tile had faded in England. This then is likely English made in the 1750-1830 period. Economically frameable for charming display.
