AUSTRIAN SOLDIER’S RING C.1866, SIZE 11 ¾

Austro-Prussian War period. Gilt bronze, size 11 ¾ with rounded 4.6mm band flaring to the chevron engraved shoulders. Raised shield shaped bezel in two horizontal ranks with the top and bottom in rococo drapes. The bottom with remnants of a date, poorly struck and indecipherable. These rings were fashionable at the time particularly among Austrian soldiers. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and is jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity. Handsome, attractive wearable example.
