Iconic natural heart form, domed section with raised triple foliate motif on stippled ground. Foliate designs were favored by Vikings and incorporated into about half of heart pendants. Over 5/8” (0.68”) height. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Worn from use and the surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored on a gilt neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
