ANCIENT ROMAN WOMAN'S PENDANT NECKLACE, 1ST-3RD CENTURY

$70.00
These small globular pendants were popular among common women in ancient Rome. Some have been described as prostitute's pendants and that view is widely published on the internet. This example is 11.3mm, (0.44”) diameter of bun form. It is degraded from burial and has been professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. It is suspended on an 18” gilt neck chain for modern wear and is gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
