Gilt bronze, over ½” (0.55”) in height including the ring. Finely fashioned of faceted pear form with a flower modeled on the bottom. Several variant sources describe these as worn specifically by prostitutes. As prostitution was openly practiced, that may be the case. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored on gilt Sterling silver 18” neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certification of authenticity.
